2004 Tunnel fire exercise

At the night from 31 October to 1 November 2004 one of the largest tunnel fire exercises of Germany occurred in the Engelbergtunnel with over 800 participants. At this action we were involved with seven of our trucks, in order to offer a realistic accident scenario to the rescue forces. An accident of a touring bus with several one into another wedged trucks and passenger cars should be simulated with over 50 injured and many dead people. Thus, the rescue forces were able to practice the emergency as a reaction to the fire in the Mont Blanc tunnel and in the Tauerntunnel.
